Collins Tours is pleased to announce the late summer 2026 vacation to scenic seaside Gaspé peninsula.

The tour includes one night in Campbellton, New Brunswick, two nights at the Riôtel Percé in the charming tourist town of Percé overlooking the famous "pierced" rock jutting out of the sea for which the town is named, followed by one night each in Matane and one in Rimouski.

Join us as we discover the natural wonder of the Percé Rock, a boat ride tour for an up-close at both the Rock and Bonaventure Island, the breathtaking Jardins de Doris and learn about the devastating history of the Empress of Ireland, and the maritime history shaped by the importance of the mouth of the mighty St Lawrence River

Tour Cost Including Deposits

Your initial deposit may be transferred to another Collins Tours departure within the same calendar year, provided the request is made within 60 days of booking and before final payment. Deposits cannot be transferred once the final payment date has passed or for bookings made after the final payment deadline. A new reservation must be made, and a new deposit paid for the new tour for the same traveler. *60-Day Exchangeable deposit not valid on River Cruises or Oceania Cruises*

Please note that deposit transfers are a one-time courtesy. Once your deposit has been transferred to a new tour, the exchangeable deposit benefit no longer applies to that new booking.

Final payments must be received by the due date listed on your invoice, website, or tour documentation. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in automatic cancellation and loss of payments.

Visit to the Battle of the Restigouche National Historic Site -

Learn about the last naval battle between France and Britain for possession of New World territory considered the closing chapter of New France, which from that day forward belonged to Great Britain.

At the Jardin De Doris we will spend approximately 1 hour exploring the over 185,000 square feet of gardens with a wide variety of flowers & plants to enjoy. Maybe you would like to spend some time by the duck and goose pond? Or try your hand telling time at the large sundials throughout the garden. Enjoy the garden at your leisure.

The National Historic Site of the Empress of Ireland

Here you will enjoy 1 hour and 45 minutes approximately, in the Museum and viewing of the film of the Empress of Ireland tragedy. The sinking of the Empress of Ireland was the second largest shipwreck in the history of the Maritimes, next to the Titanic, of course. You will also get a chance to see “Father Point,” one of the tallest lighthouses in Canada.

• Enjoy a continental breakfast this morning before crossing the J.C. Van Horne Bridge over the Restigouche

River to Pointe-a-la-Croix Quebec. Don’t forget to set back those watches by one hour!

• Get set for a morning of history during our visit to the Battle of the Restigouche National Historic Site.

• Lunch today will be on your own.

• This afternoon we arrive in Percé, Quebec. This town is perched at the tip of the world famous Gaspé

Peninsula granting you the breath-taking view of the Percé Rock.

• We check in to the Riotel Perce, located in the centre of the village, right on the water’s edge and opposite

the Parc National de l’Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé. L’hôtel Le Mirage has unbeatable views! The

hotel rooms offer an unmatched view of the stunning Percé Rock and the Bonaventure Island; and with

its breathtaking view of the sea, the dining room serves an unforgettable feast for all the senses. Breathe

in the fresh sea air and relax. Time to take those memorable pictures.

• This evening, join the group for a lobster dinner (substitute available) at a near by restaurant.

• The rest of evening is free for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Location: Percé (B, Group D)

• Enjoy an American breakfast that is included this morning at your hotel.

• We then take a short drive into the village of Gaspé to enjoy some of the local boutiques and lunch on your own before departing on our scenic boat cruise.

• Be sure to plan some time for a light lunch prior to meeting for your boat cruise.

• This afternoon we are scheduled for an exciting adventure cruise! (Included). The highlight of the tour, this is your chance to see Percé Rock up close during our scenic boat ride to the rock and neighbouring Bonaventure Island. Learn about the numerous birds who call this island home.

• Once ashore, take time to further explore this friendly coastal village, complete with colourful boutiques, studios, restaurants, and charming cafés. If you wish you may return to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon at your beautiful seaside hotel!

• We will gather again this evening for another group dinner at a nearby restaurant.

• Following dinner, the remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
Wednesday, September 2 – Percé (B, Group D)

Location: Percé – Riotel Matane, Matane, QC (B, Group D)

• Enjoy another delightful American breakfast this morning.

• Lunch today will be on your own.

• Today we will explore the Jardin De Doris (Doris Gardens) entrance fees included. At the Jardin De Doris we will spend approximately 1 hour exploring the over 185,000 square feet of gardens with a wide variety of flowers & plants to enjoy. Maybe you would like to spend some time by the duck and goose pond? Or try your hand telling time at the large sundials throughout the garden. Enjoy the garden at your leisure.

• Board the coach for our short drive to Riotel Matane. Your Tour Manager checks you in and has your bags
sent to your room.

• Tonight, meet your tour manager and fellow Collins Tours friends for another group dinner at the hotel
overlooking fantastic views of the Gaspe!
Thursday, September 3 – Percé – Riotel Matane, Matane, QC (B, Group D)

Location: Matane – Hotel Navigateur, Rimouski, QC

(B, Farewell D)

• After enjoying your hot breakfast (included) this morning we will depart Point-au-Pere for our visit to the

National Historic Site of the Empress of Ireland. Here you will enjoy 1 hour and 45 minutes approximately,

Friday, September 4 – Matane – Hotel Navigateur, Rimouski, QC

Location: Rimouski – Home (B)

• After our hot breakfast (included) we check-out and head for home.

• We will stop for a brunch stop at Grey Rock Casino on route. We then continue and say goodbye to our

friends who depart for the rest of drop-off points as indicated in the schedule below.
